March empties

Hey ya'll!! I'm so sorry I didnt do a February empties. I really don't have an excuse to be honest. I've been very lazy and slacking in a lot of areas of my life. Now that spring is here though, it's time to kick it up and get back to it.

1- John Frieda Luxurious Volume Thickening Conditioner. I love both the shampoo and conditioner. It left my hair very soft and detangled my hair.

2- Garnier Clean Smoothing Cream Cleanser. This was ok. It left my skin soft but it was difficult to rinse off. It did smell good though.

3- Ole Henrikson African Red Tea Foaming Cleanser. I LOVE this cleanser. It didnt dry my skin out, smelled amazing and really cleansed my skin.

4- Milani Prime Perfection face primer. I'm not a fan of this. It smells like glue and was kind of expensive for what it is. It felt good on the skin but didnt make my makeup last longer.

5- Loreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation. I'm in the shade 101 which is the lightest shade. It's my holy grail drugstore foundation. The shade is perfect and the coverage is incredible. I already have a back up.

6- Supergoop! Everyday sunscreen. This line is my all time favorite sunscreen. It doesn't smell like sunscreen and feels really good on the skin.

7- Parlor Detangling Leave In Conditioner. I'm not a fan of this. It did nothing for my hair.

8- Mary Kay eye primer. This is a great primer. I'm going to try some other brands but I will probably go back to this.

9- Obliphica Sea Berry Hair Serum. This is so amazing! It made my hair so soft and shiny.

10- Tom's Wicked Fresh toothpaste. This tastes amazing but nobody else in the family likes it so I'll keep using other ones.

11- nSpa Exotically Creamy Coconut Rich Body Butter. I didn't like this. While it smells amazing, it didn't blend very easily.

12- Gillette Venus Divine razor refills. I've been using these forever. I've recently started using my husband's razor from Dollar Shave Club and it's my new favorite! I highly recommend them.

13- Ofra Universal Brow Pencil. My holy grail brow product and as soon as I use up my DipBrow from Anastasia, I will definitely buy this again.

14- Jersey Shore Spa Anti Aging Lip and Hand Polish. I actually love this. I can easily make this myself though. It smells like vanilla and brown sugar.

15- Swisspers cotton rounds. I despise these. They leave cotton bits all over the place. I hate them.


I used a lot of stuff last month which I always love. I'm proud of myself for actually using up some makeup too. See ya'll later!!!

January empties

This month seemed to drag by. I did end up using a TON of products though.


I used up the Avene thermal spring water. I used this before my primer and it actually did help with redness and it hydrated my skin a bit. I'm not sure if I would actually buy this though.

I used up the Pure Silk shave creme in Raspberry Mist. I LOVE this shave creme. It's a gel so it didn't clog my razor and it got me a really close shave. I am definitely buying this again.

I used this Templespa La La Lagoon bath and shower gel. I did not like this. It didn't lather very well and it smelled very herbal which I am not a fan of.

Sadly, I finished my Loreal infallible setting spray. I love this setting spray. It is a tad drying because of the alcohol in it but it does the job and keeps your makeup on all day. It is $17.99 so I'm not sure i would buy it again. I'm trying to find a cheaper dupe for it.

This Klorane dry shampoo is something that a lot of people have said works great. I did not like this. It did soak all the oil up, but it left a huge white cast and left little white flakes in my air that wouldnt come out until I shampooed. Not a fan of this at all.

I finally used up my Wet n Wild coverall powder. This is only $3.99 and is a great powder for the price. I will definitely buy it again.

I HATED these Ken Paves volumizing shampoo and conditioner. They didnt lather and I had to wash my hair twice to get this out of my hair. It also didnt volumize at all.

Those are all of my empties for January. It's a lot right? I hope to use a lot more in February .

Influenster unboxing #CheersVoxBox

I was so excited when I got the email saying I was going to be getting a VoxBox. It's been awhile since I received an actual box. If you dont know what influenster is, it is a completely free website where you can take surveys and review products and you can get free boxes full of product. Check it out here . I received the Suave Professionals Keratin infusion shampoo and conditioner. I already know I love this shampoo and conditioner and I'm almost out of my current one, so I will definitely be using this soon.

I also got the Dr Teals epsom salts. I dont take many baths but I will definitely be using these.

I was a little nervous about these. I don't like spicy food but this had just a tiny kick at the very end and was actually very delicious.

I also got a coupon for a free Hormel Fresh Taco Meat.  My husband said that when he tried to use it, it wouldnt scan but they overrode it. I also got a invitation to the app Yaye which is a fitness motivation app which I love! It's basically like a group messaging system where you can share motivation and your workouts and keep each other accountable. It's totally free to download

January Birchbox unboxing

 This will be my last Birchbox unboxing. Sad I know. I've been debating canceling for awhile now, but I finally bit the bullet. The reason I cancelled was mainly because I kept receiving hair products, even after fixing the quiz and emailing them. I am however switching to ipsy! They give a lot more makeup samples which is what I ultimately want.

Here is what is in my January Birchbox....

This is what the box looks like. It's pretty cute. I reuse all of my boxes to store makeup in my vanity.

This box  came with stickers! I already placed them into my planner :-)

First, is the Eyeko Fat Liquid Liner. The full size retails for $16. I'll have to figure out how to use this since it's so big.

The top swatch is the Eyeko Fat liquid liner and the bottom is the eyeko skinny liner. They are both extremely black and matte.

Next is the Ouidad Vitacurl define and shine styling gel-cream. This smells really good and I  will definitely be using it tonight to see how I like it. The full size retails for $26.

This is the IPKN Flash Cream Radiant Primer. This is stunning. You can pat it on and have a beautiful natural highlight or use like a primer for a radiant glow. It also has an SPF of 15. The full size is $28.

I also got the Parlor detangling leave in conditioner. Now because I have long, curly hair I can never have enough detanglers. The full size retails for $24.

And lastly I received the Nugg beauty revitalizing face mask. It has essential oils and it is supposed to help restore skin to the peak of radiance. We'll see about that lol. This retails for $16.50.

That's it for my January Birchbox. I'm pleased with this box. I can use everything in it which is my goal every month with these things. Next month will be my first Ipsy unbagging!! Stay tuned!

December Empties

I hate to sound cliche, but I can not believe that this year is over already. As you know, I did the #deluxedec challenge this past month so I didn't have a lot of other empties.

I used up the Air Repair complexion boosting moisturizer. It's a nice moisturizer but it's not super amazing.

I did not like this smashbox photo finish primer. It's very silicone like and that's not my cup of tea.

Ya'll know I love these makeup wipes. Always have, always will.

Same with these cotton rounds. I got another brand and I definitely prefer these over the name brand ones I got.

I love Bath and Body Works hand cream. Winter candy apple is my favorite holiday scent from them and their hand creams are so thick and nourishing.

I HATED this concealer. It's hard to get the concealer out of the tube. The concealer is very light coverage and not very brightening on my fair skin. It also oxidizes.


That's it for my December empties! I'm so excited for start the new year and hopefully use up a lot of makeup this year!!

#Deluxedec update #4

We are finally at the end of #deluxedec !! I have used up a lot of products this month, which makes me so happy. I didn't finish everything I wanted, but I did add things as I went. I will also continue to use up my samples and include them in my monthly empties which will be going up around the first of every month.

Let's see what I used up this past week!

I used up the Olay Regenerist Luminous Tone Perfecting Cream. I love this cream. It makes a huge difference in your skin after just one use.

I used up another Supergoop! Advanced Anti-aging eye cream. I like that this has SPF but that's about all I like. It didn't make any difference and I've been using this for about 4 months.

This Harvey Prince Hello body cream smells good and is moisturizing but it's not superb. It's just another lotion in my opinion.

#Deluxedec update #3

Unfortuntely, I didn't use up a lot this week but I made more progress on pretty much everything in my pile.

I used up the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing Shampoo and Conditioner. Because my hair is so long, this was only a one time use sample so I couldnt get a feel if this helped or not helped.

I loved this aveeno positively radiant daily moisturizer. In fact, I will be buying the full size as my new daily moisturizer.

I'm hoping I have a lot more gone this next week. I'm almost done with at least 2 items.
